Out and About
When you can tear yourself away from a book by the pool - or for those members of the family who have some spare energy to burn off - there’s plenty more to do and see.
Vassiliki beach, less than a kilometre away, is one of Europe’s top windsurfing beaches. Mornings tender to be calmer, offering perfect conditions for beginners, whilst the regular afternoon breeze allows the more experienced windsurfer to test their skills.
Add to that sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkelling and the brand new marina, and water sports enthusiasts will have plenty to keep them happy.
Lefkada’s beaches are known for their clear waters in mesmerising shades of turquoise. Whether you want to head off early to bag a place on one of the famous West coast beaches such as Porto Katsiki or Egremni, or take a late afternoon dip in one of the many small beaches (like the locals do), there’s a beach for every taste.
